  1. The 3-1 win at Darlington I remember very well. My son and I traveled up by train and stayed in Darlington. Not a bad little town. What we remember vividly about that game was that we played in Darlingtons new stadium. I can’t remember what it’s called, but it must have had a capacity of 28-30,000. The travelling Swans fans were in the away end, about 200 maybe, and they all congregated at the front. My boy and I decided to go to the back row, and chose to stand. We were the only ones at the back, and guess what, we were approached by one of the jobsworth stewards who insisted that we sat down. I tried explaining, politely, that we were at the back of the stand, and that no-one was behind us. He wasn’t having any of it. It resulted in him threatening to have us thrown out if we didn’t sit. Se la vie. What a w****r. Every club has stewards like him, much is the pity. These guys must be missing something in life, but I dont know what it is.

It was noticeable that Darlos old ground, Feethams, was still standing. We hoped to take some photos, but it was too dark. Anyway, look at where we are now, and where they are. We don’t know how lucky we are! (And no, I’m not a Happy Clapper, or Rose Tinted Spectacle wearer). Your Honour, that concludes the evidence for the Defence.
