What’s It Like?
With Spurs building a new stadium, replacing White Hart Lane, the club play all their home matches at Wembley for one season. Wembley is a quality stadium, from escalators to transport fans up to the top tier to the landscaped concourse, no expense is spared.
There is not a bad seat in the stadium, even seats at the very top of the upper tier have excellent views and with the roof being very close to the crowd a full house can make some serious noise.
Up to 3,000 Swans fans are in the South East corner in the lower tier. The catering is always expensive at Wembley, pies, pizza slices, hot dogs, nachos and chicken dippers are sold; Pie & Pint deals are available. The concourses are quite spacious, have betting counters, and loads of TV screens, and programme stands.
Visiting London
What is there to do in London? Everything from theatres to museums to concerts. There are dozens of musicals, plays and exhibitions available in the capital. Friday and Saturday will be extremely busy; booking in advance is a must.

Being London, you are spoilt for choice for places to stay and you can easily find accommodation to suit any budget.
Wembley Stadium tours are available to book online giving a cheaper price than at the Stadium. Cost is £20, £12 (u16, students & seniors), £50 (family), £60 (VIP tour). Discounts are available when booked in advance.
BAMMA (a mixed martial arts) is next door at Wembley Arena (HA9 0AA) on the Friday night. Tickets are £28-£118
Micky Flanagan has a long running comedy show at ‘The O2’ (SE10 0DX) with various dates from 14 Sep – 21 Oct. Tickets are £25-£37.50. The Tuesday after the game, Foo Fighters are there. General sale tickets have sold out, but VIP experience tickets are still available.
Pubs and Grub
There aren’t many pubs near the stadium. Close by J.J. Moons (HA9 6AA), a Wetherspsoons, the Green Man (HA9 8DF), both near Wembley Stadium station, and Torch (HA9 9AB), near Wembley Park tube station. They will be rammed hours before KO. Some pubs may be home fans only, and so early into the season haven’t yet established themselves as yet.
Most fans will drink in the central London, or by tube stations on the way around Harrow on the Hill, Watford Junction or Ruislip. The good thing is parking out here, after the game you’re heading away from the crowds. Carling, Carlsberg, Tetley’s, red/white wine, Smirnoff Ice and various spirits are sold at the stadium.
Parking
The stadium is a ‘public transport’ destination, so very limited parking at the stadium and a residents only parking scheme in the area. Best to park a tube stations at the end of the Metropolitan line e.g. Uxbridge, Hillingdon or Ruislip or at Stanmore on the Jubilee line and take the tube. This means you’ll miss out on the chaos of getting away from Wembley.
Train/Tube
The nearest tube station is Wembley Park, a 10 minute walk to the stadium. This is served by both the Jubilee & Metropolitan lines, best to take the Metropolitan as it has less stops.
Wembley Central is slightly further away from the stadium and has both rail & tube connections. This tube station is served by the Bakerloo line, whilst the railway station is on the London Euston – Milton Keynes line.
The nearest train station is Wembley Stadium, on the Birmingham to London Marylebone line. Train from Swansea to Paddington leave at 09:92, 09:54 and 10:43 for the 4 hour journey. Coming back they are at 19:58 and 20:58 getting in at 00:56 and 01:45
