Mumbles, “what should we do now”? A great open question with so many varying answers.
If you mean “what should the owners do” then I think they need to be looking for a new manager and whilst I think Huw should go also I can’t see that happening. What ‘should’ happen and what ‘will’ happen will come down to money (or lack of) I suspect. Can the club afford to sack one let alone two is debatable.
If you mean “what should the Trust do then for me the whole Trust scenario is just as frustrating as the ‘club’ problems. Again we see fans have many varying answers/wants.
For me, I’ve just read an old wales on-line report made pre-sale but while it was known the yanks were in negotiations. It’s demoralising to read that the Trust had already seeked legal advice and yet we STILL find ourselves in the situation (threatening legal action) over a year later ! The Trust royally laid on its back and now you have fans calling for a new Trust board. What a mess !
I have two remaining views on the Trust. 1: Any new board members (or remaining) should declare their views and wants over their feeling regarding court action, sale or jeep shares etc etc. We have to know the opinions of the people we may be asked to vote for. ie ‘the res’ has posted on PS he would/wants the Trust to keep its 21%. If That’s the case he WOULDNT get my vote..
but you get my point? We have to know what we re voting for.
2: I would like the Trust to represent fans more in terms of leading protests etc. I think the Trust underestimate their pull. There are certain thing happening at the Liberty at the moment well worth protesting about. The Trust (IMO) should be leading the way, NOT leaving it to little unorganised separate (here and there) groups of fans to organise.
Call for supporters to return to their seats ten minutes after half time or something. GET fans together. We CAN support the team and make the Liberty an intimidating place to come for visiting teams to come at the same time. But for this to happen (again just my opinion) the Trust HAS TOO call fans into action.
They (the Trust) would be shocked how eager we would be to act I think.!
Lastly Mumbles, as you may guess the whole thing is so frustrating at the moment. So much so that I nearly answered your question with two simple words - Give up ! Lol
