noticed that Pele is trending today as it's his 77th birthday, and it set me thinking to the time I saw him play live. It was for New York Cosmos v Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the 70's. A team that included Pele, Moore, (Beckenbauer?) Cruyff, George Best, Charlton, Bremner etc
other players I have been privileged to see include C Ronaldo, Cantona, Gasgoigne, Lineker, Bale, Giggs, Toshack Keegan, Zidane, Muller etc etc,
but to me the greatest player I have seen has to be John Charles. Granted it was at the end of his career when he was player manager of Hereford but his presence and impact on the game was immense. He must have been really special when younger.
( not mentioned any other Swans, there are plenty of favourites there too )
