Birthplace: Consett, County Durham
Interesting Fact: Clattenburg is considered by many to be the best referee in the Premier League and whilst his record below doesn’t make great statistical reading for any Swans fan, he hasn’t (yet) put on a horror show for the Jack Army.  Known to be an Ed Sheeran fan, Clattenburg or his music are not to everyone’s taste and it is no secret that Mike Riley, the top man at PGMO (who assigns the Premier League games) or David Elleray, the chairman of the FA referees’ committee, are NOT big fans of Clattenburg!
