When I listen to Williams I get a real connection that he sees things similarly to me. At least I think he is working on the most important issues, and has a clear road map to success..Let's hope he has the resources to make the journey!
I am struck by a strong sense of regret that we didn't bypass Duff and put him in place last summer with some of the resources banked that we squandered.

I think perhaps LW joined us at the right time and I hate to imagine what he would have thought where our, at the time, our newly recruitment officer placed in front of him in pre-season.
LW now has an input into recruitment and his input will, I hope, bring in better suited players.

Second time I've seen you say that in a few days, one might think you are trying to do just that!

I do like that Williams seems to be 'all in' as @Mark_Jack_London says, that is something we never saw with Duff. Disinterested, above it all, didn't understand the club or what it means to be a Jack. Whatever you think of Martin - nobody can say he didn't get us or what the derby means to us, and I'm glad to see Williams is the same.

Colin_swansea i think you are probably right on that score. Duff paying the price, despite me not liking him or his brand of football.

If we back this guy, the very least we'll have is some fun, because from what we've seen here so far - and from his coaching career to date in fact - he wants his sides to score goals.

I'd gladly take a season next year like the sole Championship season we had under Roberto, where we never seriously threatened the playoffs but we were comfortably top half and there were goals going in left right and centre.

A season like that would do us the world of good and provide us with a platform to move forwards over the next 3 years.

If he feks this one up, it’s not going to be good news for us or him.
