At this moment in time, I’m not feeling particularly optimistic, about our threadbare, 1st team squad, lasting another 44 + games, since our transfer window, debacle.
Lets assume the Yanks have a master plan, other than to fill their boots with what we perceive to be “our” money.
And This is to eradicate all the high wage earners, because the accounts show....HJ and our scouting team, have been complete and utter knobs, and thrown away approx £80m in fecked up transfer dealings.
That means because they have no intention of putting any of their own money on the line, we are now where we are, supposedly skint.
So, they’ve brought in a man, who has built a club, from obscurity, to competing in Europe, on a shoestring.
That means, in their eyes, at this moment in time,we are work in progress, nothing more, nothing less.
Potter’s CV seems to be, finding players to fit his ethos, plus bringing on youngsters.
Considering we have 2 training grounds, umpteen youngsters of all ages to choose from, for the future, as well, you would assume, he’s thinking, he’s died and gone to heaven, considering what he’s previously had to work with ( not that I have a clue of what he had to work with, in his previous club Ostersund )
Perhaps the master plan is, for now, let him work his magic, with what he’s got.
Maybe a loan or two.
See how we are competing.
Then come the January window, reevaluate.
If we’re in with a shout, perhaps a couple of signings ?
Its so crazy it might work!
