What is the 'Valuable lesson' that we have learned or should be learning from this match. That is meant to be the threads question.
For me, the lessons should take:
1) we need a stronger midfield, who can pass better, resist the press and tackle.
2) we need some physical presence and experience alongside our youngsters in midfield and attack.
3) we need a number, some think 3, you know I believe 5, to cover the roles that we don't have covered.
4) Endeavour and defending won't be enough on their own, however laudable.
5) we still aren't creating enough chances, we have improved from last year but improving to an average of 8 per match when we normally score every seven opportunities won't be enough. We need to create 14 per match. A number I believe Birmingham created in the first half alone.
6) if we keep playing Ollie like this we are going to get him injured and we aren't giving him enough opportunities to get his eye in either.
7) when the wingers don't work what's plan b, I don't know why it wasn't Montero.
Anyone got any other lessons?
