Rare hat trick and it is not easy.

A rare hat trick over the weekend. First team, u23 and U18 all won. First team 0 locals, u23 4-5 locals, u18 7-8 locals. No mean achievement as all are in the top league. All teams are mid table.

  • Who are the locals then @Ponty_Jack ; :D

You're right though a rare occurrence indeed but good to see them all win.

Almost as rare as us, that lot down the road and Newport winning on the same weekend too - which happened when we beat Palace in August (I think).

  • Welsh players mostly from south Wales. Almost no PL players have  come through before Allen and Davies. Jazz Richards is another sold for a fee. If players do come through it would prove the training works and produces players. For the u18 to be competitive is a big achievement without entirely imported players as it shows there is talent locally.
  • Ah ok, I see what you meant now when you used the term locals - went over my head initially lol.

Hopefully the investment in Landore and category one status will assist in bringing local talent through - which I'd prefer any day of the week over the often-costly imports.
