Not sure that anyone has brought this up but I have to say it.
Kris O'Leary while not a gifted player, nonetheless good enough to make it as a pro and he gave us a good ten years of service. When posters on here were attacking him left, right and centre when he was U21 coach and then first team coach to Garry Monk: I felt very annoyed because he was clearly a more easy target.
We didn't have the usual service of Wyndham as co commentator for the Millwall game.
Instead we had O'Leary and well I can't say I rated him very much.
It was alarming when he inadvertently defended Cooper's constant choice of playing Celina on the left and out of poistion.
But more worryingly so comparing him to Andy Robinson. :o
Are you bloody serious? All he could say was Celina likes to cut in from the left to shoot with his right foot like Robbo.
Not really doing your research are you Kris. Yes I know its only Swans TV but still you'd expect a little better than that.
Now to Alan Tate who again I don't want to take anything away from when he was a player as he gave us more than enough years of fantastic service to this club and he was certainly character to have in the dressing room.
But fact is he hadn't done anywhere near enough what Cameron Toshack & Gary Richards had achieved and yet the former gets a nice pat on a back with a promotion to the first team. No wonder the latter two decided to go solo elsewhere, I know I'd be pretty pissed off and feel underappreciated if I was in their shoes. Talk about another example of jobs for the boys instead of rewarding the best.
The only contribution that Tate seemed to bring to the dugout yesterday was getting the chewing gum pot out. Perhaps trying to channel his inner Alex Ferguson?
