I live a mile away from Chorley. So for pure selfish needs - Chorley away for me 😁
My late mother spent WW2 in Chorley in a munitions factory filling shell and bomb fuses with gunpowder😮so a slight connection.
I hope they get a good payday out of the draw.
Have never seen the presenter in charge of the draw so no idea who he is, but didn't he say we were 7th in the championship when he Savage pulled us out?

Yes he did, and later said that Bristol city were 7th which they are.
We were 7th on Saturday night when his notes were probably written, but poor not to update even so.
I seem to remember that something similar occurred once before relating to a reference to Swans by an ill informed presenter.
Funnily enough, I live on the massive estate that now covers where that munitions site used to be - small world?
Definitely a small world JB ,My mother talked often about the munitions work as I grew up.Not only the danger and the accidents but the comradeship between all the girls.They were drawn from across Lancashire and lived on site in hostels,she came from Lancaster.The name Chorley has always stuck in my mind because of it.
I always feel that those girls in munitions work certainly 'did their bit' for the country.
