    Still 0-0 after 40 mins.

It sounds like the u23s are playing well 58% possession 34 dangerous attacks (v 12 for Coventry) and shots(on target) 8(3) for us and 1(0) for Coventry.

It would be great to see some highlights of how they are playing. Coventry have won 4 out of their last 5 matches, so a reasonable team

  • Still 0-0 after 80 mins.

Coventry coming back into the match it seems, Possession for us down to 54%, and now 48 dangerous attacks to their 32. Shots(on target) still 12(3) to us and 3(1) to them.

Sounds like it would be an interesting match to watch.

  • Final score 0-0 against a team in form. Looking forward to the report and finding out who played.

    REPORT: Sky Blues U23 0-0 Swansea U23 - News - Coventry City (ccfc.co.uk)

From a Coventry City perspective, but the report mentions Benda, Ryan Bevan, Brandon Cooper and Michael Murphy, plus a number of trialists in Swans team

  • And Al Hamadi

  • Here's the Swans match report:

Swansea City Under-23s kept their first clean sheet in four attempts after holding in-form Coventry to a goalless draw at the Alan Higgs Centre.

The young Swans have now suffered just one defeat in their last seven Professional Development League South clashes.

However, Kris O'Leary's side were disappointed not to take maximum points after seeing a number of opportunities go begging.

Aiming to build on their 1-1 draw with Crewe Alexandra last time out, the under-23s made a strong start in the Midlands.

Ryan Bevan dragged a low free-kick narrowly wide, while one of the trialists struck the post with a long-range effort.

The same trialist was then denied by Jordon Thompson, who cleared off the line as the Swans sought the opening goal.

Ali Al-Hamadi also went close on a couple of occasions; seeing a shot blocked by Jay McGrath, before Coventry keeper Tom Billson pushed away a drilled effort.

Coventry, who had won four of their previous five heading into this contest, also had chances to break the deadlock after the interval.

Steven Benda came to the Swans’ rescue with a brilliant double-save to deny Wesley Jobello, while Brandon Cooper headed over from close range at the other end.

Substitute Jordan Young also tested Benda with a couple of attempts that sandwiched Michael Murphy’s low drive, which Billson did well to get down to.

But in the end, the two sides were forced to settle for a share of the spoils.

Coventry U23s: Tom Billson, Jack Burroughs, Jordon Thompson, Jay McGrath, Josh Reid, Jonny Ngandu, Dan Bartlett, Wesley Jobello, Will Bapaga, Fabio Tavares, Harrison Nee.

Substitutes: Luke Bell, Joe Newton, Blaine Rowe, Dan Lafferty, Jordan Young.

Swans U23s: Steven Benda, Trialist, Harry Jones, Daniel Williams, Trialist, Brandon Cooper, Michael Murphy (Bradley Gibbings, 75), Ryan Bevan, Ali Al-Hamadi, Trialist, Trialist.

Substitutes: Jamie Searle, Jake Thomas, Cameron Congreve, Rio Campbell.
