I think its funny how others on the outside talk like they know what the trust should have done.
I was involved in the whole process from a Trust perspective and so know what happened.
How about we hold a Zoom call to talk about what you think and I will outline what I KNOW happened and I can then share the conversation here for others to view?
I am up for it Ponty and Bif.
Ponty - as someone who was involved in the process with the Trust in having to deal with the situation I can CATEGORICALLY tell you that the only time the Trust recieved an offer before the sale was completed was around July when an offer was made and then pretty much straight away withdrawn.
I mean, why would they need to buy the Trusts shares when they already bought 70% of the shares and the sellers had given them the remaining voting rights they needed to change anything they wanted to?
Be clear on this. The trust were excluded because the sellers wanted more money for their shares.
This is the reality
As one of the Trust Board involved in all of the sale actions at the time, some of the inaccuracies and damm right lies outlined here will be responded to.
I can tell you this. I gave my all to help the club and trust. I didnt get 8m from the sales plus a 500k a year job with this. I just gave up my time freely.
