The finer details of Swansea City Ladies Champions League adventure have been put on ice following the UEFA Executive Committee meeting on Wednesday afternoon.
UEFA made several decisions on the timetable for European competitions at their online meeting, including the moving of the 2020/2021 UEFA Women’s Champions League Qualifying Draw to September, with the exact date to be confirmed.
The Welsh Premier Women’s League Champions were due to learn their Qualifying Round opponents this week, but will now have to await the draw at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland during the first week of September instead.
One date the Ladies can plan for however, is the 7-13 October 2020, when the Qualifying round mini-tournaments are currently scheduled to take place.
The 2021 UEFA Women’s Champions League Final will be played in May at the 18,500 capacity Gamla Ullevi stadium in Gothenburg and it will be the first time that a UEFA Women’s Champions League final has been played in Sweden.
