Swans draw Notts County in Cup

Should the Swans overcome Championship leaders Wolves in their FA Cup 3rd Round Replay next Wednesday evening, then a trip to high flying League Two side Notts County awaits.

The last time the two sides faced each other was in March 2005 when the Magpies ran out 1 nil winners in the League Two clash at Meadow Lane.

The FA Cup 4th Round game will be played over the weekend of 27/28 January.

The draw was made live on BBC Two prior to the all Premier League FA Cup 3rd game between Brighton and Crystal Palace.

The last time the Swans played in the 4th Round of the FA Cup was during the 2014-2015 season under Garry Monk, when they were beaten 3-1 by Championship side Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.

Most fans will probably remember the televised game due to the fact that Premier League referee Craig Pawson sent off both Kyle Bartley and Gylfi Sigurdsson during a miserable and ultimately forgettable afternoon in Lancashire.

Now all Carvalhal’s men have to do is beat Wolverhampton Wanderers, ahead of a tricky Premier League home game against Liverpool the following Monday evening.
