Swans kick off campaign away at Sheffield United

The Swans kick off their return to the Championship with a visit to Sheffield United on Saturday 4th August 2018, for a game that will be screened live by Sky Sports, with a 5.30pm kick off.

Graham Potter’s men will then face Preston North End the following Saturday in their first Championship home game since the 2010/11 season.

A clash with Bristol City, the closest game the Swans can classify as a derby, will see the Robins visit the Liberty on Saturday 25th August. The return visit to Ashton Gate won’t be until 2nd February 2019.

On Saturday 18 August, the Swans will come up against Garry Monk’s Birmingham City at St. Andrews – the first of several clashes against former Swans managers in the SkyBet Championship. Paul Clement and his Reading team will return to the Liberty on Saturday, 27 October.

Other key games are the visits of Aston Villa to the Liberty on Boxing Day and then Wigan Athletic just day days on December 29th. The Swans round off the Christmas period with a visit to Paul Clement’s Reading on New Years Day.

The Swans entertain Rotherham United on Good Friday (April 19) before facing Ipswich Town on Easter Monday.

The final league game of the season will be on Sunday 5th May 2019, when the Swans travel to play former Premier League champions Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.

Although some fixtures are obviously subject to change due to TV schedules, the Swans will face at least 12 midweek games (including a couple on Bank Holidays) during the 46 game campaign.

Throughout the course of the 2018/19 season, Sky Sports will exclusively show 127 live matches from the Sky Bet EFL season – including the Play-Offs.

Fans will need to be aware that the EFL and broadcast partner Sky Sports have committed to give Clubs and supporters at least five weeks’ notice ahead of any EFL League matches being selected for live television coverage.
