Swansea City, according to Football Insider, are in talks with Plymouth Argyle’s midfielder Ruben Lameiras over a move to the Liberty Stadium on a free transfer move this summer transfer window.

The 24-year-old is out of contract with the Plymouth side, and although the Home Park side have offered him a new contract, their relegation to League Two on a dramatic final day of the League One season means Lameiras is likely to leave the club in the summer.
Bookmakers have entered Swansea United into the race to sign the Portuguese footballer after a flurry of bets and you can claim you next bonus using their Sportpesa Bonus Code.
It now seems that one potential destination for the midfielder could be Swansea, after Football Insider reported that Swansea are in talks with the winger, who pace and trickery mean that he would fit in well with the club’s attractive style of play.
The report also claims that Ligue 1 top side Bordeaux are interested in a move for the former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder.
Since joining the League Two club from Coventry City two seasons ago, he has registered 82 appearances and has 18 goals in all competitions for the Pilgrims, according to Arsenal Blogs.
With Dan James reportedly on the verge of leaving the Swans in and the club in a difficult financial situation, the move for Lameiras could be a shrewd move from Swansea.
According to a report from the Daily Express, Manchester United are on the verge of tying up a £15 million deal for James and Birch’s latest comments suggest that this particular transfer could be made official in the next couple of weeks.

Man United have the financial backing to meet the Championship side’s demands for the sale of James and it is difficult to see the Wales international turning down the club’s approach for him to play at Old Trafford and a chance to compete in Europe.
Lameiras, however, has the attacking prowess to potentially soften the blow of losing James, and while he has never played at this level before, that shouldn’t be something to put Swansea off.
It remains to be how the club, who are without a manager right now having seen Graham Potter leave for Brighton & Hove Albion recently, handle their transfer plans this summer.
Coventry City signed Lameiras on a free transfer and he became an integral part of the Sky Blues. He spent two seasons in League One at the Ricoh Arena but left after they were relegated to League Two to join Plymouth in 2017.
