Swansea City can be proud to have played a part in helping Wales qualify for Euro 2020 thanks to the effort of defensive trio Connor Roberts, Joe Rodon and Declan John, all of whom have featured for Ryan Giggs’ side during the campaign.
The Swans International production line doesn’t stop there however, with several of the club’s youngsters featuring prominently for the Welsh under-21 and under-19 sides currently.

But now that the International breaks are done with until 23-31 March 2020, Swans fans can turn their attention back to the club’s Championship campaign, with the visit of mid-table Millwall to the Liberty Stadium this Saturday.
We thought it would be interesting to see what the form book says about Swansea City after an International break, so with some help from Swans statto Gwyn Evans, here is what those all important stats revealed.
Since the Swans move to the Liberty stadium back in 2005, they have played 59 matches after an International break, with 27 being played at the Liberty and 32 on the road.
Sadly the statistics don’t make for great reading with 20 wins, 12 draws and 27 defeats in those games, whilst scoring 81 goals and conceding 78 in the process.
In fact since the start of the latest FIFA International Match calendar, which started in March 2018 prior to the World Cup, the Swans haven’t managed a single victory!
19/10/2019 – Barnsley (A) – Drew 1:1
14/09/2019 – Nottingham Forest (H) – Lost 1:0
30/03/2019 – Nottingham Forest (A) – Lost 2:1
24/11/2018 – Norwich City (H) – Lost 4:1
20/10/2018 – Aston Villa (A) – Lost 1:0
15/09/2018 – Nottingham Forest (H) – Drew 0:0
31/03/2018 – Manchester United (A) – Lost 2:0
The last time the Swans won a game after the International break was in October 2017, when a Tammy Abraham brace gave Paul Clement’s team a 2 nil win over Huddersfield Town in the Premier League at the Liberty Stadium.
Here’s hoping for a similar result on Saturday against Gary Rowett’s Millwall!
