Bodin picks two Swans for games against Moldova and Netherlands

Cymru U21 manager Paul Bodin has selected a squad of 22 players for his side’s UEFA U21 EURO 2023 Qualifying Round double header away to Moldova on Friday, 8 October and the Netherlands on Tuesday, 12 October.

In the squad are Swansea City duo Brandon Cooper and Dan Williams, both of whom have played in the EFL Cup for Russel Martin’s senior Swans side this season.

Bodin’s side come into the matches on the back of an impressive 4-0 win against Bulgaria last month. Hat-trick hero Jack Vale is included in the squad and Bodin welcomes the return of Brandon Cooper who was involved with the senior side last month.

Cymru faced Moldova in a goalless draw in the opening match of the campaign at Stebonheath Park in June, while the match against the Netherlands will be first time the two nations have met at Under 21 level since 1996.
