Williams names two Swans in Cymru Under 17s squad

Rich Williams has named a 20-player squad as Cymru U17s travel to Portugal for the 2022 UEFA #U17EURO Qualifying Round, including two players from the Swansea City academy.

Williams’ side will face Ukraine on November 10, hosts Portugal on November 13 and finally Kazakhstan on November 16, as they look to reach the tournament’s Elite Round for a second year running.

Centre-back Sebastian Dabrowski, who has been with the Swans since the age of nine and midfielder Ben Lloyd, who featured for the Swans senior team in the friendly against Forest Green Rovers back in July, have both been selected for the squad.

Cymru welcome back Luke Harris into the U17 squad after being part of the U19 squad for their UEFA qualifiers at the start of October.

The top two teams in each group will join top seeds Netherlands and Spain in the spring 2022 elite round along with the four third-placed teams with the best records against the top two in their section.
