Swansea City Ladies to make Swansea.com stadium debut

The Swans Ladies will make history next month when they finally make their Swansea dot com stadium debut in their opening Genero Adran Premier fixture of the season against Cardiff Met.

The game at the Swansea dot com Stadium on Sunday 4th September, gets underway at 5:45pm and will be shown live on S4C, online on S4C Clic and also on Sgorio’s Facebook and YouTube pages.

It is a fitting reward for the League Champions, who have also represented Swansea City Football Club in Europe in the UEFA Women’s Champions League for the past three seasons.

The game against Cardiff Met, who finished runners up to the Swans last season, will to be an intriguing and exciting encounter and the perfect way to kick-off the 2022/23 League campaign in front of the TV cameras.

Alicia Powe, Swansea City Ladies captain, said: “With the recent success of the Euros, it shows the appetite for the women’s game is growing.

“It’s a huge platform for Welsh women’s football to be televised at the Swansea.com Stadium. The whole squad is excited to be part of this milestone event and we can’t wait to get the season started.”

For those wishing to attend the game, ticket details for the match will be released in due course.
