Swans loanee Joseph shines for Oxford

Swansea City’s Kyle Joseph grabbed the headlines in League One this weekend after his brace for Oxford United at Exeter City.

The 21 year old striker scored either side of half time to help Oxford to an emphatic 4-2 win at St. James Park, which earned the Scot praise from United head coach Karl Robinson, who has used Joseph as a centre forward, winger and midfielder during his loan spell to date.

Joseph’s two goals took his tally up to 6 goals in 10 League One appearances since his loan move to the Kassam Stadium back in August.

Morgan Whittaker on the scoresheet

Elsewhere in League One, Morgan Whittaker also got on the scoresheet for Plymouth Argyle, as they romped to a 4-1 win at MK Dons.

Whittaker opened the scoring on 9 minutes, taking the 21 year old’s tally to 6 goals in 14 appearances for the Pilgrims.

Jordan Garrick, who is on loan at League One Lincoln City, also played on the weekend, coming on as a late substitute in the Imps 1-0 win at Ipswich Town.

It was Garrick’s 8th League One appearance and his 3rd off the subs bench.
