Watch the Swans Ladies at the Swansea.com stadium

Having already played on the hallowed turf earlier this season, Swansea City Ladies return to the Swansea.com stadium on Sunday, 4 December when they take on Cardiff City Women in the Genero Adran Premier.

The Ladies who are currently on an eight game winning run, welcome league leaders Cardiff City to SA1 for a mouth-watering south Wales derby clash between the sides.

Having beaten the Swans 2-0 in the return fixture at Leckwith back in September, Ceri Phillips’ team will look to overcome a miserly Cardiff side who have only conceded four goals to date and lead the second placed Swans by 5 points.

Swansea City Ladies midfielder Emma Beynon is once again relishing the opportunity to play at the stadium having already sampled the atmosphere during the 2-0 win over Cardiff Met Women at the Swansea.com stadium in September, which was played in front of a then record crowd of 1,426.

I’m not old now, but when I started at Swansea City things like this felt a long way off. To be playing at the stadium for the second time is really good for us and for the game.

It gives young girls something to look up to and aspire for. We didn’t get that when we were younger and I think it would have helped back then.

For a long time I was having to play with the boys, so to have women’s football in the Swansea.com Stadium that young people can come and watch is a really important step for women’s football in Wales.
