What’s The Valley Like

Up to 3,000 Swans fans can be housed in the Jimmy Seed stand behind the goal, which incidentally is the oldest stand in the ground (dating back to the 1980s).

Due to the supporting pillar for the roof in the middle of the stand, some views may be a little obstructed.

Pies, hot dogs are sold, also John Smiths, Fosters, Bulmers & white wine are the standard fare offered to away fans on match day.

Visiting Charlton

With Charlton being just a 25 minute journey into central London, you could easily make enjoy an overnight break as there is plenty to do in the capital!

You’re spoilt for choice for things to do, places to see, eat, drink and of course places to stay.

For those who prefer a familiar name, the Premier Inn London Woolwich, Royal Arsenal is just 1.7 miles from the ground and the Travelodge London Woolwich is 2.1 miles away.

Eating and Drinking near The Valley

There are a few pubs near The Valley, namely the Anchor & Hope (SE7 7SS – 1 mile) and Angerstein Hotel (SE10 0LE – 1.2 miles).

For train travellers, near Blackheath station, The Railway (SE3 9LE), The Crown (SE3 0BS), O’Neills (SE3 0BH), Mordens Wine Bar (SE3 0TA), Zerodegrees Microbrewery (SE3 0TJ) and Hare & Billet (SE3 0QJ) are 2.5 miles away.

Parking near The Valley

You can choose from a selection of private car parking spaces near the Valley, including around 28 parking spaces which you can reserve for your visit from just £6.00 for the whole day – which is great for London prices!

If you do chance street parking, be mindful of residents parking only.

Alternatively, as you come off the A2 onto the A206, there’s some parking on the right in a few streets before the Rose of Denmark pub.

The industrial estates in the area, in Westmoor Street, Eastmoor Street, Warspite Road and Ruston Road have street parking.

If you’re coming up Woolwich Road from the Blackwall Tunnel as you pass the ground, the industrial estates are on the left-hand side (SE7 8BL).

Trains to Charlton

The ground is 0.4 miles from Charlton Railway Station, served by trains from Charing Cross, London Bridge and Waterloo East stations.

The nearest tube station to the stadium is North Greenwich which is approximately a two mile walk. However, buses run from North Greenwich to stops near the stadium. Supporters taking this route should look out for buses: 472, 486, 161, 177, and 180.

Trains to Charlton from Swansea High Street station usually take around 4 hours.
