Swansea City Manager Russell Martin and midfielder Olivier Ntcham have been named in the EFL Championship Team of the Week for the weekend of 18 September.

After the first half debacle at Luton Town on Saturday, when the Swans were lucky only to find themselves 3 nil down at half time, the selection of boss Martin and Ntcham, speaks volumes about the team’s turnaround in the second half.
Whilst his side struggled to cope with Luton’s intensity in the opening 45 minutes, Martin showed that he isn’t afraid to change things when needed, with the introduction of Ben Cabango, Olivier Ntcham and Joel Piroe at half-time.
As for Ntcham’s inclusion, you only have to see his stunning strike for the Swans second goal and his assist for Jamie Paterson to see why he was included in the Team of the Week!
Hopefully the EFL Championship Team of the Week will feature more Swansea City players over the coming season, but more for their comfortable winning performances, rather than great escape like comebacks.
