The international break appears to have worked wonders for Russell Martin’s Swansea team, as they recorded their second win in four days, after beating high flying West Bromwich Albion 2-1 at the Swansea dot come stadium.
Despite gifting the visitors the lead after just 50 seconds, Karlan Grant’s fifth goal in as many games for the Baggies, the Swans gradually got themselves back into the game.
And their perseverance was rewarded on the hour mark, when Joel Piroe scored his 7th Championship goal of the season, before the man of the moment Jamie Patterson, grabbed the winner poking a shot into the far corner of the net with just seven left on the clock.
The win saw the Swans move up to 15th place in the Championship, level on points with Nottingham Forest and Blackburn Rovers – with only goal difference separating the sides.
