Three Swans selected in Wales Under 21 squad

Cymru U21 manager Paul Bodin has selected 21 players for his side’s UEFA U21 EURO 2023 Qualifying Round matches away to Gibraltar on Friday 12 November and at home to Switzerland at Rodney Parade in Newport on Tuesday 16 November.

Three Swansea City players have been picked by Bodin for the qualifiers, Lewis Webb, Brandon Cooper and Dan Williams.

Cymru captain Cooper is the most experienced player in the squad, having already gained 11 caps at Under 21 level.

Both Cooper and Dan Williams featured in the last two games for the Under 21s against the Netherlands and Moldova, with Lewis Webb on the substitutes bench.

The match against Gibraltar will be the first time both sides have met at U21 level, whilst Cymru took 6 points against the Swiss in the 2019 UEFA U21 EURO qualification campaign.

It will be the first time the sides have met in this qualifying campaign.
