Russell Martin confirmed this morning that Swansea City have failed in their bid to overturn the four match ban handed to Ryan Manning after his red card against Fulham earlier this week.
Manning was shown a straight red card by referee Jarred Gillett for a foul on Harry Wilson during the latter stages of the first-half in the heavy defeat against Fulham on Tuesday night.
Manning would have served a three-game ban, but this was increased to four games due to the Republic of Ireland international being sent off against Blackburn Rovers on the opening day of the season.
The Swans appealed against the red card decision but the Football Association have confirmed they will not be overturning the ban.
As a result, Manning will now be unavailable for the upcoming Championship matches against Blackpool, Peterborough United, Birmingham City and Cardiff City.
