Swans Ladies go seven points clear

The Swans Ladies went seven points clear at the top of the Genero Adran Premier last night after a hard fought 2-1 victory over second placed Cardiff Met at the Llandarcy Academy of Sport.

Goals from Chloe Chivers and Stacey John-Davis in each half were enough to give the Swans all 3 points, despite Met pulling a goal back through Emily Allen with 20 minutes to go.

The game was as competitive as it usually is between two good sides, with 5 yellow cards handed out to Ellie Lake, Chloe Chivers and Laura Davies for the Swans, along with Laura-May Walkley and Lauren Townsend-Hutton for Met.

This weekend, the Ladies turn their attention to the Semi-Final of the FAW Women’s Cup, as they travel to Penydarren Park in Merthyr to meet Cardiff City Women for a place in the final on 24 April.
