Swansea fans at Oxford United

Over 870 Swansea City fans made the trip to the Kassam Stadium for the Swans Carabao Cup First Round game against League One Oxford United this evening.

It was an impressive midweek showing as usual from the Jack Army, who faced a 314 mile round trip, whilst having to negotiate the M4 and A34.

Thankfully unlike the weekend, they had plenty to cheer in the first half, as Jay Fulton and Liam Cullen scored for the visitors to give Russell Martin’s men a 2-0 lead at half time in front of the 4,373 crowd.

Sadly for the Travelling Jacks, a calamitous final 18 minute saw Oxford score twice to draw level and force a penalty shoot-out, which the home side went on to win 5-3.
