Naughton and Martin ahead of Blackpool trip

Kyle Naughton and Russell Martin spoke to the press ahead of Swansea City’s trip to Blackpool this weekend.

The big news ahead of the game is that Russell Martin confirmed that the Swans Wales duo of Ben Cabango and Joe Allen are in contention to start this weekend, with Jamie Paterson a doubt with his fitness is being monitored.

It will be welcome news for Swansea fans in light of the team’s below par start to the season, although experienced defender Kyle Naughton believes that will change.

“It’s early days, we are working hard and there is still a very long way to go into the season,” said the 33 year old centre-half.

“We believe we can win games and be successful playing this style of football, that’s definitely the case.”

With over 1,400 away tickets already sold, Martin’s team will once again be backed by a large and vocal Jack Army at Bloomfield Road, just as they were last season.
