Cabango and Martin talk about Middlebrough test

Swansea City manager Russell Martin and Wales defender Ben Cabango sat down with the gathered press to talk about the Swans long trip to the north east this weekend.

Martin said that despite his sides disappointing start to the season, he and his players are confident that continuing to work hard and believe in each other, will ensure that their methods will pay off.

“After that the week has been about working on stuff we need to work on. The way the guys have worked this week leaves us feeling enthused and excited for the weekend.

“We’re just excited about where we can go with this team, we have to learn some lessons quickly.”

Martin confirmed the return of Kyle Naughton, who wasn’t available for the Luton game due to an ankle injury, but Jamie Paterson is still a doubt ahead of the trip to the north east.

Middlesbrough are without a league win so far this season, having drawn 3 and lost 2 of their opening 5 games. If Swansea fans think Martin is under pressure to get results, then spare a thought for Boro’s Chris Wilder, whose side announced their 10th new signing this week.
