What started as a casual kickabout among Swansea City fans has transformed into something meaningful – something bigger than football.
On Tuesday, 26 May, the Swansea.com Stadium plays host to a charity match that captures everything the Swansea City family is about: community, compassion, and a shared sense of purpose. Two teams of supporters, united by their love of the Swans, will take to that famous turf to raise money for two causes that genuinely matter – and with a couple of club legends leading the line, this is one afternoon none of us are going to forget in a hurry.
In the East Stand corner, Cellan Williams captains his side with club legend Leon Britton lending his considerable skills to the cause. They’re raising funds for the Jac Lewis Foundation – Swansea City’s official charity partner for the 2025–26 season. The Foundation has been quietly doing extraordinary work, providing vital mental health support across Ammanford and the surrounding communities. For Cellan, the choice was deeply personal.
“Jac was a friend from my days at Saron Juniors,” he explains. “The Foundation has been instrumental in helping people in our community through some incredibly dark times. It was a natural choice.”
In the North Bank corner, captain Steve leads a team flying the flag for Tŷ Olwen Trust – the hospice at Morriston Hospital that provides compassionate, dignified care to patients and their families when they need it most. It’s the kind of charity whose value only truly hits you when you or someone you love requires that level of support. And the numbers are stark: to keep their doors open and their care standards high, the Trust needs to raise over £500,000 every single year. A certain Lee Trundle will also be in the North Bank line-up!
The dressing room is at stake, too.
In a brilliant touch that gives the fundraising a competitive edge, whichever team raises the most money before kick-off earns the honour of using the home dressing room at the Swansea.com Stadium. If that’s not enough motivation to dig deep, I’m not sure what is.

Can’t make it to the game? There’s still plenty to enjoy.
The game has already sold out (only 100 tickets were available), but don’t worry if you’re not in the stands – you can still follow all the build-up, behind-the-scenes content and matchday excitement over on Instagram at @yjb_cyril. It promises to be a cracking watch.
And once the final whistle blows, everyone – players, supporters, and anyone who simply wants to raise a glass to two brilliant causes – is welcome to join both teams for the post-match party at the Swansea Jack pub on Little Wind Street. There’s an extra special treat in store too – you’ll have the chance to meet the original Cyril the Swan himself, the one and only Eddie Dunn. If you know, you know.
This isn’t just a charity match. It’s a reminder of what football communities can do when they pull together. Twenty eight Jacks, two wonderful charities, one shared goal. Whether you’re heading down to the Swansea Jack, donating online, or just spreading the word – you’ll be part of something special.
