With the Sunday papers reporting that Chelsea are interested in Andre Ayew, it appears the club (or perhaps the media/agents more like!) have wasted no time in suggesting the Swans are chasing additional striking options themselves.
Hot on the heels of Tribal Football and some Spanish websites reporting that the Swans are chasing Atletico Madrid striker Borja Baston, comes the news from Holland that they are interested in 22 year old FC Utrecht striker Sébastien Haller.
Although on a long term contract with the Dutch side, the right-footed French striker has made no secret of the fact that he wishes to play at a higher level.
Given the recent “prickly” dealings the Swans have had with FC Utrecht, it is likely they will look at a fee of around nine million euros for the former AJ Auxerre striker. He has a fairly impressive goalscoring record having scored over 45 goals in 100 matches including almost double figures for the France under-21s side.
The Swans have previously been linked with the striker, whose name was bandied about during the January transfer window last season.
