Swans trialling Paris Saint-Germain defender

With the Swans Under-23s already announcing the signing of 20-year-old Slovenian defender Matic Paljk on a free transfer earlier this week, it appears that they are looking to bolster the teams defensive options even further.

Anthony BrydgesThe latest name on the radar is Anthony Brydges, who has been playing with Paris Saint-Germain since 2014.

The 20-year-old was given a run-out in the Swans U23s side in the recent International Cup game against Celtic at Landore and against Chelsea U23s in Premier League 2 last Friday.

The French right back, who has played for PSG U17s, U19s before progressing to the PSG B squad, is believed to be currently out of contract at the French Cup and League winners.

Having watched him play in both games, he is comfortable on the ball and has plenty of pace, although the quality of his crosses was a little inconsistent.

Only time will tell whether or not Gary Richards and Cameron Toshack decide to offer Brydges a contract, but handing him several appearances seems to suggest they want a closer look at the Frenchman.
