The Stats when Wayne Rooney has faced the Swans

When the Swans travel to Pride Park to take on Derby County, they’ll come up against a familiar foe in the shape of Wayne Rooney, but this time around, the former England striker will be in the dugout not on the field of play.

Signed from DC United in January 2020, few would have thought that the prolific striker would become the Rams interim manager just 11 months later, following the departure of the man who signed him Phillip Cocu.

It’ll be interesting to see how Rooney the manager fares against the Swans, after an impressive start to his interim managerial role, assisted by Liam Rosenior, Shay Given and Justin Walker, the Rams are currently unbeaten in 5 games – four draws and a 1-0 away win at Millwall.

Hopefully Steve Cooper’s team can build upon the excellent South Wales derby win at the Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday and claim all 3 points at Pride Park in front of the Sky TV cameras.
