Cooper making a positive start at County

It was once again a busy weekend for Swansea City loan players, with midfielder Ollie Cooper the first of them in action on Friday night for Newport County.

21 year old Cooper, once again featured in the starting line-up for Michael Flynn’s side, who came back twice to draw 2-2 with early League Two leaders Harrogate Town, as Cooper once again caught the eye with a lively performance.

On Saturday in League One, Jordon Garrick was a 76th minute replacement for Plymouth Argyle, as he replaced Argyle skipper Joe Edwards at right wing-back, in the impressive 3 nil victory over Sheffield Wednesday at Home Park.

Despite playing out of position, Garrick gave the Pilgrims some fresh energy on the right side of the pitch.

Another Swans loanee to feature from the bench in League One on the weekend was Kyle Joseph, who celebrated his 20th Birthday last Friday.

Joseph was a 76th minute replacement for fellow Cheltenham forward Alfie May, as the Robin’s claimed an impressive 2-1 victory over Charlton Athletic at the Valley.

Meanwhile on Friday evening, defender Cameron Evans, played 83 minutes for Waterford in their 2-0 defeat at the hands of new League of Ireland Premier Division leaders Shamrock Rovers.

Elsewhere, goalkeeper Josh Gould who is on loan with National League South side Ebbsfleet United, suffered a 3 nil defeat at Hampton & Richmond Borough.
