Fans can look forward to seeing the first South Wales derby between Cardiff City Women and Swansea City Ladies in the Adran Premier live, after it was announced it is to be streamed live.
The game on Sunday, 26 September 2021 at the Cardiff International Sports Campus, or Leckwith Stadium as it was formerly known, will be streamed live by Cardiff City TV with kick-off at 2pm and will be FREE to watch.
The announcement was made on the Official Cardiff City Women’s twitter account and follows the big increase in interest and promotion of Women’s domestic and international football in Wales.
Chris Church’s Swans Ladies team are no strangers to the TV cameras, having already been on Sgorio earlier this month, for the live coverage of their opening day Adran Premier league win over Cardiff Met Women.
The clash between the two sides takes on more than just the derby day bragging rights, as both sides currently sitting in the top two positions after the opening two games.
If last season’s meetings between the sides are anything to go by, there will be plenty of goals, with the Swans Ladies winning the corresponding league fixture 3 nil last season – ironically also in front of the TV cameras.
