Langford to referee Swans v Hatters

West Midlands Referee Oliver Langford has been appointed as the man in the middle for the Swans re-arranged home game with Luton Town at the Swansea dot com stadium on Tuesday evening.

This will be Langford’s second Swansea City appointment of the season, having also been the referee for the Swans 2-1 defeat at Birmingham City last October.

Langford will be assisted by Daniel Leech and Matthew Jones, with Steve Cooper’s old friend – Andy Woolmer – the 4th Official for the game.

Unfortunately, Oliver Langford’s statistics as a referee don’t make for good reading for Swansea fans, with him yet to officiate a Swans win or draw at the Swansea dot com stadium.

Oliver Langford EFL Championship Record

To date Langford has officiated 13 Championship games, handing out 48 yellow cards but only one red card, whilst awarding only one penalty.

The only Swansea player to receive a yellow card from Langford so far this season is Ryan Bennett, during the game at Birmingham.

Langford has officiated three Luton Town games to date, the 2-1 home defeat to Cardiff, the 2-2 draw at Blackburn and the 1-0 win at Barnsley.

He has however brandished 10 yellow cards to Luton players during those three games!
