Stroud to take charge of Swans v Bristol City clash

Hampshire born official Keith Stroud has been appointed the referee for the visit of Bristol City to the Swansea dot com stadium this Sunday.

Stroud, who has already officiated three other Swans home games this season, will be assisted by Sam Lewis and Jonathan Hunt, with Joshua Smith the 4th Official for the game.

It is probably fair to say the Stroud hasn’t been the most popular of referees with Swansea fans or managers over recent seasons!

A closer look at his statistics when officiating Swansea City games might give you a clue as to why!

His three previous games at the Swansea dot com stadium this season have all ended in draws, against Sheffield United (0-0), Hull City (0-0) and most recently Blackpool (1-1).

Keith Stroud EFL Championship Record 2021/2022

Stroud has taken charge of 18 Championship games so far this season, dishing out 74 yellow cards, 1 red card and awarding just the one penalty – to Cardiff of all teams.

This will be the first time that Stroud has officiated a Bristol City game this season.

During the three Swans games he has officiated to date, he has given 3 yellow cards against Swansea City players – Matt Grimes, Jamie Paterson and Jake Bidwell.
