Eltringham to Referee Sky Blues visit to Swansea

Geoff Eltringham has been handed the whistle for the visit of Coventry City to the Swansea dot com stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The official, who hails from the north east, will be taking charge of only his second Swans game this season, having officiated the Swans 1-0 win at Bristol City last August.

Eltringham will be assisted by Andrew Dallison and Craig Taylor, while Lee Swabey will be the 4th Official for the game against the Sky Blues.

Geoff Eltringham has been the referee for 20 Championship games so far this season, including one Swansea game and two Coventry City games.

He has handed out 83 yellow cards and 2 red cards, whilst awarding 2 penalties both of which have been for the home side.

Ten of the yellow cards Eltringham branded were in the Swans victory against Bristol City at Ashton Gate last August, when Joel Latibeaudiere, Ryan Manning, Jay Fulton, Matty Grimes, Jake Bidwell and goalscorer Joel Piroe were all booked for the Swans.
