Swansea City and Middlesbrough have both been fined £5,000 by the Football Association for failing to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion in their recent Championship game.
The two clubs were charged after the game at the Riverside stadium on 27 August, which the Middlesbrough won 2-1.
Fans will probably remember that Swans defender Ben Cabango was shown a second yellow card by referee Bobby Madley in the 87th minute of the game, after clashing with Boro’s Isaiah Jones, which subsequently led to a melee involving players from both sides.
The Football Association have said that both clubs “accepted the standard penalty”.
