Match Highlights – West Bromwich Albion 2 Swansea City 3

Swansea City recorded their second Championship away win of the season after a pulsating 3-2 win at West Brom.

The Swans got off to a dream start, as Matty Sorinola scored his first goal for the club after just six minutes. West Brom then hit back in the second half, as Jake Livermore and Grady Diangana goals put the hosts in front.

But the final stages were packed with drama as first substitute Olivier Ntcham equalised, before Steven Benda saved Karlan Grant’s poorly struck penalty – which was harshly awarded by referee Graham Scott.

Perhaps it was fitting then that with the Jack Army singing his name, that substitute Michael Obafemi should score the winner, as he fired beyond David Button to earn his side all three points.

Russell Martin was rightly proud of his players, with the starting line-up was the youngest fielded in the Championship on Saturday.

The manager also paid tribute to the 1,700 plus Jack Army in his post-match press conference, saying “The fans played their part, no doubt about it.”

The Swans now travel to Watford on Wednesday evening looking for back-to-back away wins for the first time this season.
