Swansea City fans at West Bromwich Albion

Over 1,700 Swans fans travelled to the Hawthorns this afternoon to watch their team grab all three points in a typically crazy Championship encounter.

Despite yet another rail strike, the Jack Army once again travelled in large numbers and were rewarded for their loyal support with goals from Matty Sorinola, Olivier Ntcham and Michael Obafemi, in a cracking 3-2 win over West Brom, which gave the Swans only their second away win of the season.

Those that made the for the 270 mile round trip, were praised by Swans boss Russell Martin in his post-match press conference – “The fans were incredible,” he said.

“To hear the Welsh anthem late on with the game at 2-2, the atmosphere shifted totally with Steven’s save, and the composure after the save, to have a spell on the ball and to take the temperature of the whole stadium down, was incredible. The fans played their part, no doubt about it.”

The Swans and their loyal travelling fans now head to Watford on Wednesday evening, with the Russell Martin and his players looking to claim their first back-to-back away wins of the season.
