Swansea City put an end to their six-game run without a win with a well-deserved victory over Bristol City at the Swansea.com stadium, thanks to goals from Liam Cullen and Olivier Ntcham.
Cullen managed to steer the ball home on the turn just before the break, and Ntcham’s low shot secured the points late in the game.
This was a much-needed win and has eased the pressure on Swansea’s manager Russell Martin and his team, who have been heavily criticised due to their miserable run, which had seen just three victories in their last 21 Championship games prior to the win.
It was also the Swans first clean sheet of 2023, which prompted Martin to say in his post-match conference – “There is a lot of pride and gratitude for how the players played,”.
Due to the International break, the Swans next game is on Saturday April 1st, when they travel to Cardiff City.
