Hampshire born official Keith Stroud has been appointed the referee for the Swans trip to Cardiff City on Saturday.
It will be the third time that Stroud has officiated a Swansea City game this season, the other games being the 3-1 win over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light in January and the 3-0 home win over Hull City back in September.
Stroud will be assisted by Sam Lewis and Nigel Lugg, with Andy Woolmer the 4th Official for the game at the Cardiff City stadium.
If you take a closer look at Keith Stroud’s statistics when officiating Swansea City games, you’ll understand why he isn’t one of the most popular officials with Swansea City fans.
Keith Stroud EFL Championship Record 2022/2023
This will be the 27th Championship game that Stroud has taken charge of so far this season, and so far he has handed out 135 yellow cards and 4 red cards.
He averages 5 yellow cards per game, with Norwich City (18), Queens Park Rangers (12) and Coventry City (11), being highest on the list of recipients of a yellow card.

This will be Stroud’s third Cardiff City game this season, having previously overseen the defeat against Watford in November and the goalless draw against QPR on Boxing Day – both at the Cardiff City stadium.
Three Cardiff players have been shown a yellow card by Stroud in those two games – Ryan Wintle (2), Mahlon Romeo and Niels Nkounkou.
