Swansea City claimed only their second home win of the season and climbed out of the Championship’s bottom three thanks to a 3-0 win over Hull City.
The Swans hit the woodwork three times before Ryan Manning’s composed volley in the second half put the Swans ahead.
Wolves loanee Luke Cundle and Joel Piroe then took advantage of some comical Hull defending errors to seal a well deserved and welcome win for Russell Martin’s side.
It was the first time this season that the Swans had scored outside of the opening 21 minutes at the Swansea.com stadium, whilst also subjecting the Tigers to their fourth straight Championship defeat.
After the frustrating manner of defeat against Sheffield United last Tuesday, it was little wonder that Russell Martin praised his team and staff for their relentless mentality in his post-match press conference.
With the International break now upon us, the Swans next game is Saturday, 1st October when they travel to the Hawthorns to take on West Bromwich Albion.
