Swansea City secured their fourth consecutive Championship win thanks to a thrilling comeback in Devon.
Plymouth Argyle took the lead in the first half through a strike from former Swans loanee Luke Cundle. However, the Swans showed great determination after the break to come back and win the game.
Jerry Yates scored the equalizer by bundling the ball in from close range after a header from Liam Cullen. Swansea’s goalkeeper, Carl Rushworth, played a crucial role by making a vital save to deny Bali Mumba.
The Swans capitalized on Rushworth’s efforts when substitute Ollie Cooper, with his first touch after coming on, fired a powerful shot into the net from a distance, securing the lead for Swansea.
To seal the victory, former Exeter player Josh Key, scored his first goal for Swansea, converting a magnificent pass from Jamie Paterson in the final moments of the match.
This resilient performance demonstrated Swansea City’s character and determination, leading them to another well-deserved win.
Due to the international break, the Swans next match is on 21 October, when they welcome league leaders Leicester City to the Swansea.com stadium.
