Match Highlights – Ipswich Town 3 Swansea City 2

The Swans winning streak of three consecutive away victories came to an abrupt end as Ipswich Town secured all three-points with victory at Portman Road.

Jay Fulton provided an early lead for the visitors with a skillful glancing header against the the high flying Tractor Boys. However, the home side eventually gained the upper hand, with goals from Jack Taylor and Conor Chaplin giving Ipswich a 2-1 lead at half-time.

The hosts added to their advantage after the break, courtesy of a George Hirst penalty. Swansea’s task got even harder when Liam Cullen received a second yellow card from referee Sunny Gill, resulting in his dismissal with just over 20 minutes remaining.

Jamal Lowe managed to pull a goal back with a remarkable solo effort during stoppage time. However, despite the late surge, Swansea couldn’t grab an equaliser.
