Caretaker head coach Alan Sheehan expressed his pride as he dedicated Swansea City’s 2-1 victory at Rotherham United to everyone associated with the club.
Leading the Swans after Michael Duff’s departure earlier in the week, Sheehan witnessed his team secure a one-goal and one-man advantage at half-time, with Charlie Patino redirecting a cross into the net after Daniel Ayala’s sending off for the hosts.
Although Rotherham levelled through Sam Nombe just beyond the hour mark, Swansea clinched all three points when substitute Jerry Yates capitalized on a defensive error, calmly firing home his sixth goal of the season, in front of the 495 Jacks in the away end.
Speaking in the post-match press conference, Sheehan commended how everyone at the club had come together to ensure a challenging week concluded on a positive note, stating, “The overall feeling is one of pride, for the players, the staff, and everyone connected with the club.”
